Peter and Paul Okoye were born on November 18, 1981, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. Their journey into music began in the early 1990s when they started performing in school shows and other small events as part of an acapella group called "MMMPP" (M Clef a.k.a Itemoh, Michael, Melvin, Peter, and Paul). They later formed their own group, "Smooth Criminals," drawing inspiration from Michael Jackson.

In 2001, the twins disbanded Smooth Criminals and formed P-Square. They enrolled at the University of Abuja, where they continued to develop their music skills. Their big break came when they won the "Grab Da Mic" competition in 2001, leading to a recording contract with Timbuk2 Music.

P-Square released their debut album, "Last Nite," in 2003. The album was well-received, but it was their second album, "Get Squared" (2005), that catapulted them to stardom. The hit single "Bizzy Body" became a nationwide sensation, establishing them as a formidable force in the music industry.
The duo continued to dominate the airwaves with subsequent albums like "Game Over" (2007) and "Danger" (2009). Their unique blend of R&B, hip-hop, and African rhythms, coupled with their impressive dance moves, won them fans across the continent. P-Square's collaboration with international artists like Akon, Rick Ross, and T.I. further cemented their status as global superstars.

First Separation
Despite their success, cracks began to appear in P-Square's relationship. In 2016, the brothers had a public falling out, leading to the group's disbandment.
